- Nurture relationships with other activists and organizations
- Educate ourselves and spread community awareness on needed policy changes
- Encourage participation in the local democratic process
- Host community educational events and discussions
Current and Past Issues of focus:
- Unarmed response to mental health crises
- Affordable housing
- Fighting gentrification and displacement
- Education equity for children and young people
- Removing ICE from San Mateo County
- Protecting children and young people from the carceral system
- Anti-racism policies on social media platforms
We support victims of racism:
- Extend emotional and practical support to individuals harmed by racism
- Document and track incidents of racial discrimination, harassment, violence, and hate crimes in San Mateo County (coming soon)
We meet weekly on Thursday evenings, and smaller groups collaborate throughout the week.
